Smart Gram Panchayat ("we", "our", or "the app") is a digital governance platform designed to connect citizens with their Gram Panchayat for civic services including complaint registration, certificate applications, bill payments, and official notices.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used and protected. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We do not collect: passwords (OTP-only login), payment card numbers, Aadhaar numbers, or any biometric data.

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.

Location is accessed only when you actively file a complaint. The app does not track your location in the background.
Your profile and complaint records are retained as long as your account is active and as required by government record-keeping regulations for gram panchayat operations.
If you delete your account, your personal profile data is removed within 30 days. Complaint and certificate records may be retained by the panchayat as official government records per applicable law.

Smart Gram Panchayat is intended for citizens aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us and we will delete their account immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy when features change or regulations require it. We will notify registered users via push notification and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
